BOSTON—
The Northeastern men's cross country team recorded four top-10 finishes to lead the squad to a second place team finish at the New England Championships on Saturday afternoon. The NU women finished 21st overall, led by rookie Lucy Young's 16th place finish.

The men's second place standing marks the highest team finish at the New England Championships since the mid-80s.

"Our coaches, team and alumni are very proud to see how well the guys are running this season," said head coach Cathrine Erickson. "Having four runners in the top-10 is an amazing showing. I really see great things coming from our program this year. "

Sophomore Wesley Gallagher finished the 8k race third overall with a mark of 24:17 to set the pace for the men's squad. Gallagher has led the Huskies in every meet this year, including two top-10 finishes earlier in the season.

Stephen Sollowin clocked in next for NU, crossing second overall with a time 24:32. Zachary Fraielli and Zachary Krause followed close behind, rounding out the top-10 at 24:46 and 24:48, respectively.

Charles Conway also contributed to the team finish, crossing 92nd with a mark of 25:57.

On the women's side, Young completed the 5k in 17:58, marking a personal best for the freshman. Jocelyn Hubbard also notched a personal best at Franklin Park, finishing 60th overall at 18:43. Danielle Klein capped the top-100 for Northeastern, crossing 98th with a mark of 19:07.

The Huskies will be back in action on Nov. 2 as they travel to Towson, Md., for the CAA Championship.
