Lauren Kelly notched her first collegiate two-goal game and senior
Kendall Coyne racked up two goals and two assists as the No. 6 Northeastern women's hockey team (22-4-1, 17-2-0 WHEA) won its 11th straight game in a 7-3 decision at Connecticut (9-11-5, 5-8-3 WHEA) on Saturday at Freitas Ice Forum.
After trailing 3-2 after one period, Northeastern scored the game's final five goals, while outshooting UConn by a 31-5 margin over the final 40 minutes. Sophomore

Jordan Krause also found the back of the net for the Huskies, who matched their longest winning streak since 1991 with the victory.Â
Six different Huskies recorded multi-point games, led by Coyne's eighth performance of at least four points this season. Kelly posted her first collegiate three-point game with two goals and an assist, while Brand scored the game-winner and added two helpers.
Goal Recaps• Coyne put Northeastern in front just 2:05 into the game when she took a feed from sophomore
Denisa Krizova on the left wing and sniped a wrister over the glove of UConn netminder Elaine Chuli (36 saves) and into the upper right corner of the net.
• UConn tied the game at 1-1 at 8:25 of the first period when Theresa Knutson snapped a shot by
Sarah Foss from the top of the left circle.
• NU regained the lead just over four minutes later when Krizova dropped a pass to MacMillan on the rush for a wrist shot that deflected inside the left post with 7:31 remaining in the first.
• The host Huskies again tied the game when Leah Lum's shot squeezed through the pads of Foss on the power play with 3:30 to play in the opening period.
• Connecticut took its first lead of the game at 3-2 when Brittany Berisoff skated in on a breakaway and chipped the puck inside the left post with 12 seconds left in the first period.Â
• NU tied the game at 3-3 with a power-play goal at 10:10 of the second period when Kelly blasted a shot over the glove of Chuli from the right circle.Â
• Brand gave the Huskies the lead back with 3:19 left in the second stanza, taking a feed from junior
Heather Mottau and rifling a shot under the crossbar from between the circles to make it 4-3.
• Kelly then padded the lead 4:57 into the third when she fired a shot inside the left post from a tough angle along the left-wing boards.Â
• Krause added a second power-play goal at 13:45 of the third period when she blasted a shot through traffic from the right point to make it 6-3.
• Coyne tacked on an empty-net, shorthanded goal in a 6-on-3 situation for UConn to cap the scoring with nine seconds to play.Â

Brittany Bugalski came on at the start of the second period and stopped all five shots she faced the rest of the way. For the weekend, Bugalski made 20 saves on 20 shots.
