BOSTON – Dana Trivigno recorded a hat trick and goaltender Katie Burt made 22 saves as the No. 1 Boston College Eagles (30-0-0) skated to a 7-0 win over the Northeastern women's hockey team (25-5-1) in the championship game of the 38th Women's Beanpot at Walter Brown Arena on Tuesday.

Boston College scored twice in the first period, before adding five more goals in the third to turn a close game into a comfortable victory.

Freshman goaltender Brittany Bugalski stopped a career-high 42 shots, including 12 in the second period, but the Huskies were unable to find the back of the net as the Eagles skated to their sixth Beanpot championship in program history.

Goal Recaps
• The Eagles jumped out to an early lead when Haley Skarupa whacked a rebound past Bugalski on the power play just 2:54 into the contest.
• BC struck again with 5:32 left in the opening period when Dana Trivigno won a face-off to Newkirk, who fired a quick shot between the pads of Bugalski from the low right slot to make it 2-0 Eagles.
• After a scoreless second period, BC scored two goals in quick succession to open the third period. Trivigno netted the first with a snap shot from the right faceoff dot just 1:25 into the frame, before Kenzie Kent found the net 50 seconds later with a backhander from close range.
• The Eagles added another goal at the 14:47 mark of the third when Trivigno took a pass from Newkirk and ripped a shot inside the right post from between the circles.
• Trivigno then recorded the hat trick with a long shot from the left point at the 12:11 mark of the third.
• Megan Keller added a seventh goal with just over two minutes to play to round out the scoring.

Key Moments
• Northeastern had back-to-back power plays in the second period, but was unable to convert as Burt made several impressive stops. The best save came on a Hayley Scamurra rip through a screen that Burt was able to glove down while sliding to her right.
• Bugalski was equally impressive in the second stanza, making 12 stops, including a pair of skate saves on Skarupa at the left of the cage.

• Northeastern had its 14-game winning streak halted.
