SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Five different Huskies found the back of the net on Saturday as the No. 9 Northeastern women's hockey team (4-3-1) completed the weekend sweep of Syracuse (1-6-1) with a 5-1 victory at Tennity Ice Pavilion.

For the second straight game, the Northeastern power-play cashed in three times as freshman Brooke Hobson, senior Denisa Krizova and junior Kasidy Anderson each scored with the extra attacker. Sophomores Matti Hartman and Andrea Renner also scored for the Huskies, while junior netminder Brittany Bugalski turned aside 23 shots, including a penalty shot in the third period.

Goal Recaps
• Northeastern got on the board first at the 8:38 mark of the first period on Hobson's first collegiate goal. On a power-play chance, Anderson collected the puck behind the Syracuse net and delivered a beautiful backhand pass into the slot for Hobson to hammer home from between the circles.
• The Huskies struck again at the 12:26 mark of the first period. After Krizova forced a turnover inside the Syracuse blue-line, Matti Hartman scooped up the puck and wristed a shot through the five-hole of Orange netminder Maddi Welch from the right circle.
• The hosts got on the scoreboard late in the first period when Victoria Klimek pushed a rebound inside the right post on the power-play to make it 2-1 Huskies at 19:35.
• Northeastern pushed back in front by three goals late in the second period with another power-play tally. After a net-mouth scramble, the puck trickled back to the top of the zone to Krizova, who unleashed a slap-shot into the top corner of the net to make it 3-1 at the 15:59 mark.
• The Huskies added their third power-play goal of the day at 19:51 of the second stanza to take a 4-1 lead. Lauren Kelly's blast from the left point was redirected by Veronika Pettey onto the stick of Anderson at the right of the cage for an easy tap-in.
• The Red & Black tacked on a fifth goal 2:54 into the final frame when Renner picked up a Matti Hartman pass at the right of the net and stuffed a rebound home after Welch had made the initial save in tight.
