HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – For the first time during its CAA tenure, the Northeastern women's soccer is off to a 5-0-0 start to league play as the Huskies put forth a masterful performance at Hofstra on Thursday night, thwarting 20 attempts by the home side en route to capturing the 1-0 victory at the Hofstra Soccer Stadium.

Chelsea Domond provided the lone goal of the night for Northeastern (8-6-1, 5-0-0 CAA), which has now tied its longest winning streak attained under third-year head coach
Ashley Phillips (five matches).
Lizzie George assisted on Domond's goal, helping NU capitalize on the Pride's midfield turnover by playing a through ball ahead to the sophomore striker, who curled her 20-yard attempt through two defenders on its way to the top right shelf.

Exiting halftime, the Huskies were dialed in during the opening 15 minutes of the second half and controlled the majority of possession against Hofstra (9-5-0, 3-2-0 CAA), producing the first five attempts of the period.

Mikenna McManus saved the potential match-tying goal during the 59
th minute, when she headed away Bella Richards' header on target along the goal line.
Julianne Ross also helped preserve the Huskies' one-goal lead, making a highlight, sliding block of Sabrina Bryan's one-on-one attempt during the 73

Nathalie Nidetch made six saves, recording her fourth consecutive clean sheet – the 20
th of her collegiate career. Nidetch extended her scoreless goalkeeping streak to 406:32 consecutive minutes.
