Late goal sends Bucknell past Northeastern, 2-1

BROOKLINE, Mass.— The Northeastern men's soccer team fell to the Bucknell Bison, 2-1, on Tuesday evening at Parsons Field.

Northeastern (5-5-3, 2-1-2 CAA) took a 1-0 lead into halftime over Bucknell (4-5-3, 1-2-2 PL), courtesy of a goal from Dan Munch in the 17th minute of action. After a ball was played into Bucknell's box, Alec Supinski was able to angle it towards Munch who struck it home for the lead.

Despite an 18-11 overall lead in shots, the Bison were able to score two goals in the second half to claim the victory. The first goal for the Bison came right out of the gate of the second half as Chris Masur blasted a shot from well outside the box past goalkeeper Chandler Cree, to equalize the score at 1-1.

Bucknell then took the lead in the 86th minute as Matt Thorsheim scored directly from a corner kick.

Chandler Cree ended the day with three saves for the Huskies.
