Men’s soccer drops match at BC, 3-0

NEWTON, Mass.– The Northeastern men's soccer team fell to the Boston College Eagles, 3-0, on Tuesday evening at the Newton Campus Soccer Field.

The first half was a scoreless affair for Northeastern (5-4-3, 2-1-2 CAA) and Boston College (7-2-2, 1-2-1 ACC). The Eagles held a slight edge with seven shots to the Huskies five, but goalkeeper Noah Abrams claimed two saves in the first half to keep the game even. Abrams turned the Eagles away with his best save of the night in the fourth minute of action to deny BC an early goal.

In the second half, BC was able to score three goals in under three minutes to claim the win. Stefan Sigurdarson scored the first goal off a header in the 53rd minute. Just over a minute later, Kristofer Konradsson fired a shot into goal from inside the six-yard box and Mike Suski finished the scoring for the Eagles in the 56th minute.

Dan Munch had one of the best looks for the Huskies in the second half, as he headed a ball from Frankie de la Camara that ended up going just high of the goal in the 68th minute.

The Eagles narrowly outshot the Huskies, 14-10. Liam Murphy and Chris Rivera each had two shots apiece to lead the Huskies.
