DURHAM, N.H.— Making her first career start, freshman goaltender
Gwyneth Philips notched 20 saves to lead the No. 4 Northeastern women's hockey team to a 1-0 shutout victory over New Hampshire. With the victory on Saturday night, the Huskies swept the Hockey East series with the Wildcats.

Katy Knoll was the lone goal scorer for the Huskies, finding the back of the net at the 19:30 mark of the first period, with
Skylar Fontaine and
Alina Mueller grabbing assists on the goal. Fontaine is now riding a four-game point streak, while Mueller is on a three-game point streak. Â

Philips made 20 saves to help Northeastern (10-1-0, 7-1-0 HEAW) to its fourth shutout of the season. Philips becomes the second goaltender in a row for the Huskies to claim a shutout victory in their first career start, she follows Briana Storms, who shutout Merrimack last season.

New Hampshire's (6-7-2, 5-6-1 HEAW) goaltender Ava Boutilier had 35 saves for the Wildcats.
