CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.— Aerin Frankel pitched a 31-save shutout and
Chloe Aurard added on a three-point performance to lead the No. 4 Northeastern women's hockey team to a 3-0 win over No. 6 Boston College on Tuesday Night at Kelley Rink.
Alina Mueller potted the game-winner at the 6:38 mark of the first period. Mueller's linemates, Aurard and
Katy Knoll added on assists. With the goal, Mueller extends her point streak to four games and now has four game-winning goals this season.
Northeastern (11-1-0, 8-1-0 HEAW) added on two goals in the third period with
Skylar Fontaine and Aurard finding the back of the net. Aurard and Knoll assisted on Fontaine's goal, while Mueller and
Mia Brown assisted Aurard's.
Northeastern has not shutout Boston College (10-2-1, 9-2-1 HEAW) since Nov. 26, 2003, when the Huskies took down the Eagles, 5-0. The Huskies now have five shutouts on the season.
