PHILADELPHIA – Closing its two-game CAA road trip on Sunday against Drexel at the Daskalakis Athletic Center, the Northeastern women's basketball team had difficulty slowing the high-octane offense of the No. 15 team in the Women's Mid-Major Top 25 rankings as the Huskies departed Philadelphia with the 76-45 defeat to the Dragons.

Shannon Todd hit six of her 10 shots from the field and knocked down two 3-pointers en route to posting the team's scoring high, 14 points. Todd also registered four rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block.

Freshman guard Kendall Currence played a season high, 31 minutes, finishing with 13 points courtesy of her five-for-seven shooting. Stella Clark tied her season assists high (six) for the third time while hauling in four rebounds.

NU seniors Jess Genco and Gabby Giacone were both denied a basket from the field with Genco settling for two free throws as her only two points of the day.

Northeastern (15-9, 5-8 CAA) fell behind early as Drexel (18-5, 10-2 CAA) opened the game riding an 18-2 scoring run – a lead the Dragons would extend to 24-5 during the early stages of the second quarter. The Huskies ultimately committed 15 first half turnovers (-9) while the home team elevated its advantage to 39-14 by halftime.

NU recovered to shoot 52 percent from the field during the second half, despite conceding the 34-12 margin in points off turnovers and 50-20 edge in points in the paint by the game's final whistle.

Bailey Greenberg (17 points), Keishana Washington (16), Niki Metzel (14) and Hannah Nihill (13) were the four Dragons that landed their scoring in double figures.
