NEWTON, Mass.— The Northeastern women's soccer team suffered a 1-0 loss to the Boston College Eagles on Thursday night at the Newton Campus Soccer Field.
Northeastern (2-2-0) and Boston College (5-0-0) entered halftime with both sides scoreless and several defensive plays from both teams.
At the start of the second half, Boston College's Gianna Mitchell scored the lone goal of the match in the 49th minute to put the Eagles ahead, 1-0. Mitchell's goal was a strike from within the six-yard box and came off the rebound of a great save by freshman goalkeeper

Chelsea Domond had several chances for the Huskies, leading Northeastern with four shots. Friel made the second start of her career for the Huskies, finishing the night with two saves, and playing a full 90 minutes.
