No. 3 Northeastern downs BC, 6-0

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.— Alina Mueller and Aerin Frankel paced the No. 3 Northeastern women's hockey team to a 6-0 shutout victory over Boston College. With the win, the Huskies claimed their largest shutout over the Eagles in the Hockey East era (2002) and largest since 2000 when Northeastern claimed a 7-0 victory.

A total of 13 Huskies claimed points in the win, with five players recording a multi-point game. Sydney Herrington was one of many Huskies with a first tonight, notching her first career point off an assist.

Mueller got the scoring started for Northeastern (16-3-1, 13-2-0 HEAW) with her first short-handed goal of the season just over 12 minutes into the contest. The Huskies never looked back following Mueller's first goal, scoring at least one goal per period. Megan Carter closed out the scoring for the Huskies, slotting home her first career goal at the 13:32 mark in the third period.

Between the pipes, Aerin Frankel notched the 14th shutout of her career and claimed her 14th win of the season with 26 saves.
