BURLINGTON, Vt.— Peyton Anderson and
Tessa Ward each erupted for three-point performances to lead the No. 3 Northeastern women's hockey team to a 4-0 victory over Vermont on Friday night at Gutterson Fieldhouse.

Northeastern (20-3-1, 17-2-0 HEAW) has not allowed a goal in 300 minutes of action and is on a five-game shutout streak.
Aerin Frankel made 16 saves in the victory and has an NCAA-best eight shutouts on the season.

Skylar Fontaine continued the Huskies' trend of first period goals, scoring her 11th of the season just 3:35 into the game. Ward claimed the only goal of the second period, notching her fifth of the year at the 4:07 mark. The Huskies closed out their scoring with a two-goal third period with Anderson and
Katie Cipra each getting one on the board.

In total, eight Huskies recorded a point in the victory, with
Brooke Tucker notching her first career point off an assist on Anderson's goal.

Vermont's (9-11-6, 6-9-4 HEAW) goaltender Natalie Ferenc finished with 32 saves and the Huskies held UVM to just 16 shots on goal.
