Chloe Aurard's hat trick and
Alina Mueller's five-point performance, the No. 3 Northeastern women's hockey team skated past Vermont, 10-2, on Saturday evening at Gutterson Fieldhouse.

Katy Knoll got the scoring started with a goal just 36 seconds into the game. Aurard grabbed her first of the night in the first and
Lauren MacInnis put one in as well. In the second frame the Huskies erupted for six goals with, Aurard potting two and
Matti Hartman,
Jess Schryver and
Katie Cipra each chipping in one. In the final frame,
Alina Mueller and
Peyton Anderson closed out the scoring for the Huskies.

Overall, Northeastern's (21-3-1, 18-2-0 HEAW) offense was firing on all cylinders with three power-play goals, a hat trick from
Chloe Aurard and seven goal scorers overall. On the defensive end,
Aerin Frankel and
Gwyneth Philips spilt time with 21 and seven saves, respectively.

Vermont (9-12-6, 6-10-4 HEAW) scored two goals against Northeastern, snapping a shutout streak for the Huskies that reached 314 minutes and 59 seconds, a program record.Â

The Huskies will return home to Matthews Arena to host Boston University on Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. Northeastern will be joined by the Boston Pride (NWHL) to celebrate Women In Sports Night.
