BOSTON – With
Stella Clark and
Alexis Hill co-leading its cast of four double-digit starters on Friday night, the Northeastern women's basketball team proudly extended its home court winning streak to six consecutive games, notching the 72-68 victory against College of Charleston at Cabot Center.

Clark shared the Huskies' team scoring lead with Hill at 19 points, tacking on seven rebounds and seven assists to her 38-minute stat line. Hill meanwhile continued her defensive dominance, adding six rebounds, four blocks and three steals to her nine-for-10 shooting mark at the foul line.

Senior guard
Shannon Todd rattled in five 3-pointers to tie her career high, finishing with 17 points and six rebounds.
Kendall Currence rounded out the Huskies' double-digit scoring crew, logging 12 points and the team high, eight rebounds.

Northeastern (9-10, 5-3 CAA) set a season-best mark in rebounding defense, limiting College of Charleston (10-9, 3-5 CAA) to 28 boards, despite surrendering the 40-30 margin in points in the paint to the Cougars.

Todd connected on three triples during the opening quarter, helping NU stake the 19-7 lead at the horn. After allowing Charleston to pull in front during the second quarter, the Huskies exited the locker room to the tune of eight unanswered points, rushing out to the 36-26 advantage with 8:33 to play.

Northeastern widened its lead to as many as 17 points early during the fourth quarter before the Cougars responded with the 21-6 scoring run, closing within a possession of the Huskies inside three minutes remaining. However, NU rode out the visitors' surge, beating Charleston to the finish line upon receiving four insurance free throws from Clark.

Tyler Collins led the Cougars with 18 points while Latrice Perkins contributed 13 points, five rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals to the Charleston cause.
