CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa.— Despite a career-high 51 saves from goaltender
Aerin Frankel, the No. 3 Northeastern women's hockey team fell, 4-3 in overtime to No. 1 Wisconsin in the Battle at the Burgh championship game at the Lemieux Sports Complex on Sunday evening.
Frankel was named the tournament's inaugural MVP and was named to the All-Tournament Team after posting 82 saves across two games. Frankel's 51 saves are the most since Leah Sulyma made 52 saves against Princeton on Jan. 5, 2010.

Northeastern (15-3-1, 12-2-0 HEAW) fell behind 2-0 after the first period, but was able to even the score at 2-2 in the second off goals from
Brooke Hobson and
Tessa Ward. Wisconsin (20-1-1, 10-1-1 WCHA) took the lead back at 3-2 in the third period.
Skylar Fontaine answered for the Huskies in the third with a goal under two minutes later to push the score back to 3-3.

Ending regulation tied at 3-3, the two teams headed to a five-minute overtime period where Wisconsin scored a power play goal at 4:00 to claim the 4-3 victory and inaugural Battle at the Burgh Championship.
