CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Matt Thomson scored his first career goal to lead No. 10 Northeastern (17-10-3, 10-9-1 Hockey East) in a 10-1 loss to No. 5 Boston College (21-8-1, 14-6-0) on Friday night at Conte Forum.
Matt DeMelis registered his fourth career assist for the Huskies.
The Eagles opened up the game by tallying six goals in the second period. BC had goals by Graham McPhee, Alex Newhook, Marc McLaughlin, Logan Hutsko, Matt Boldy, Ben Finkelstein and Aapeli Rasanen.
The Huskies will play a pair of road games at Vermont on Friday and Saturday with puck drop happening at 7 p.m. each night.
