NORTH ANDOVER, Mass.— Junior goaltender
Aerin Frankel pitched a 21-save shutout to backstop the No. 3 Northeastern women's hockey team to a 3-0 victory over the Merrimack College Warriors on Friday night at Lawler Rink.

Frankel posted her ninth shutout of the season, which ties Erika Silva (1999-00) for the Northeastern single season record. The junior netminder now has 18 shutouts in her career, and is now tied with Florence Schelling for second all-time at Northeastern.

Alina Mueller got the Huskies on the board first with her 22nd goal of the year just 8:14 into the first period. Northeastern (27-4-2, 23-3-0 HEAW) and Merrimack (5-23-5, 2-19-5 HEAW) skated through a scoreless second period before the Huskies turned on the jets in the third to put away two more goals.

Peyton Anderson and
Miceala Sindoris each lit the lamp for the Huskies in the third period to close out the scoring.
Skylar Fontaine finished with two points, adding helpers onto Mueller and Sindoris' goals.
