Teddy Beaudet finished 2-for-3 with a home run and right-handed pitcher
Kyle Murphy tossed 7.0 strong innings to lead Northeastern (4-3) to a come-from-behind 7-4 win over Villanova (3-4) in the opening game of the Snowbird Classic on Friday at North Charlotte Park. The Huskies rallied from three runs down early with five runs over the final two innings for their fourth straight win.
Murphy (2-1) allowed three runs in the bottom of the first inning, but tossed six scoreless after that, scattering just two hits over that stretch and struck out a season-best nine.
Corey DiLoreto homered for the Huskies to drive in two runs, while
Kyle Peterson went 2-for-5 and drove in the game-winning runs.
RHP
Brian Rodriguez recorded four outs out of the bullpen for Northeastern, and RHP closer
Brandon Dufault got the last two outs for the Huskies on the mound.
Northeastern will take on Saint Louis (5-2) at 11:30 a.m. and Eastern Michigan (1-7) at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Both games will be streamed on
