PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - Scott Holzwasser and
Jared Dupere each drove in four runs, and right-handed pitcher
Sebastian Keane (2-1) struck out a career-high 10 batters, tossing 5.0 strong innings to lead Northeastern (7-3) past Eastern Michigan (1-10), 17-7, on Sunday in the Snowbird Classic at North Charlotte Park. The Huskies are riding a seven-game winning streak and are 4-0 at the Snowbird Classic.
Holzwasser finished 2-for-5, with two runs scored to extend his hitting streak to six.
Spenser Smith went 2-for-5 with a pair of doubles and drove in three runs, while Dupere connected on a bases clearing triple.
Teddy Beaudet scored four runs, going 3-for-4 with two doubles,
Corey DiLoreto drove in three runs, going 2-for-5, and
Jeff Costello went 3-for-4 with two runs scored.
The Huskies posted a season-best 18 hits in the game, and scored three runs in the second, fourth, fifth and seventh innings, and five runs in the eighth inning.
Northeastern will wrap-up play at the Snowbird Classic on Wednesday against Western Michigan. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. and will be streamed on
