Capistran Inks Contract with Boston Pride

PRIDE PRESS RELEASE

BOSTON
- Northeastern Defenseman Paige Capistran has signed a contract with the Boston Pride of the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL), announced by the organization on Thursday.

"Paige has been one of my steadiest and most consistent players over the past four years and was an amazing leader this past season," said head coach Dave Flint. "I am so proud of her and look forward to seeing her play alongside some great Husky alums in the NWHL."

The blue-liner was drafted in the fifth round and 30th overall this past April by the Pride. Capistran captained Northeastern during the 2019-20 campaign which saw the Huskies claim the Hockey East regular season crown, Hockey East tournament championship and the Beanpot.

The Manchester, New Hampshire native was the Huskies' first Hockey East Sportsmanship Award winner in 2019-20. Capistran finished her career 30 points off four goals and 26 assists and skated in 145 career games, the sixth-most all-time at Northeastern.

Capistran's selection by the Pride made her the Huskies' eighth draft pick since the inception of the NWHL in 2015.
