BOSTON -
Tyson Walker scored a season-high 30 points, 18 in the second half, while Shaquille Walters tallied 16 and Jahmyl Telfort added 10 as Northeastern (8-6, 7-1 CAA) dropped its first Colonial Athletic Association men's basketball contest, 79-72, to James Madison (7-5, 2-1 CAA) on Sunday inside the Cabot Center on Solomon Court. JMU shot 48 percent (12-for-25) from beyond the arc, compared to NU's 30 percent (9-for-30).

The loss snaps a season-best seven-game winning streak for the Huskies and a nine-game home court winning streak. Northeastern drops to 16-2 on Solomon Court over its last 18 games, and is now 8-3 this season against mid-major opponents.

The Huskies led near the midpoint of the first half, 21-15, but the Dukes outscored Northeastern 28-8 over the final 11 minutes to take a commanding 43-29 lead at intermission. The Huskies rallied several times during the second half and got as close as four points, 67-63 (5:14), but JMU's Vado Morse would not be denied, burying a 3-pointer to extend the lead back to seven and finished with a career-best 30 points.

The win snaps a seven-game winning streak for the Huskies over the Dukes. JMU's Matt Lewis finished with 16, Justin Amadi had 11 and Julien Wooden finished with 10 for the Dukes.

Northeastern is scheduled to hit the road this week to face Drexel (7-5, 2-3 CAA) this upcoming Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. Both games will be streamed on FloHoops.com.
