BOX SCORE (PDF)
BROOKLINE, Mass. — Senior forward
Ryan Massoud and sophomore midfielder
Federico Tellez each scored a goal to push Northeastern men's soccer (9-3-2, 3-1-1 CAA) out to a 2-0 lead, but they finished at a 2-2 draw with Elon (6-5-2, 3-1-2 CAA) on Saturday afternoon at Parsons Field.
- Tellez's goal was a strike from outside the box that came off a great run after he intercepted the Elon keeper's wayward pass in the 22nd minute. It was his fifth of the season, tying Timothy Ennin for most on the team and third in the CAA.
- Massoud also reached five goals on the season, scoring his fourth in three games in the 35th minute off an assist from Søren Ilsøe, his first of the season.
- The Huskies dominated offensively, putting 11 shots on target to Elon's five and earning 13 corners to Elon's one.
- Redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Colby Hegarty stopped three shots for the Huskies.
- On the back line, graduate student Kolade Salaudeen, senior Omar Da Naia and sophomore Zach Sauer each played all 110 minutes and anchored the defense.
After four straight home games, the Huskies will get on the road and travel to Comm. Ave as they take on Boston University on Tuesday at 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
