BOSTON – Junior outside hitter
Erica Staunton tallied a team-high 13 kills, but the Huskies volleyball team (8-9, 4-3 CAA) fell to Delaware (9-9, 4-5 CAA) in three sets at the Cabot Center on Saturday.
The Huskies led for most of the first, but the Blue Hens stormed back to take that set, and ultimately the match.
- Along with her 13 kills, Staunton hit .393 and had four blocks.
- Junior middle blocker Nailah Jenkins notched seven kills.
- Freshman outside hitter Rafaella Lepenioti tallied six digs.
- Junior libero Kayla Martin and freshman outside hitter Sahitya Krishnamurthy each had two service aces.
- Freshman setter Jessica Frannea tallied 21 assists and two blocks.
- Junior middle blocker Marika Virthe led the Huskies with six blocks.
- Staunton has tallied double-digit kills in six matches so far this season.
- Delaware outhit the Huskies .323 to .226.
- The match had 22 tie scores, and eight lead changes.
