TOWSON, Md. — Freshman forward
Megan Putvinski scored a game-winning goal in the 109th minute and gave Northeastern women's soccer (4-6-1, 1-2-0 CAA) a 1-0 victory over Towson (6-4-2, 1-2-0 CAA), good for the Huskies' first conference win of the season.
- Putvinski's winner was her first first career goal. She was assisted by sophomore defender Faith Rosenblatt, who earned her second assist as a Husky.
- In net, junior Angeline Friel and graduate student Megan Adams split the game, with Adams making two saves in the first half and Friel making five saves in the second half and two overtime periods.
- Putvinski and junior midfielder Porter Dooley led the team in shots on target, both registering two each.
- NU and Towson were close in shots, with the Huskies outshooting the Tigers 17-16 and putting 10 shots on target to the Tigers' seven.
- With the win, the Huskies earned their first victory in October and snapped a four-game losing streak.
