TOWSON, MD. – Junior outside hitter Erica Staunton tallied a team-high 16 kills, but it was not enough as the Huskies volleyball team (12-15, 8-8 CAA) fell to four-seed Delaware (15-12, 8-8 CAA) in the CAA Tournament Quarterfinals in straight sets, ending Northeastern's season.
 
Delaware stormed out to a quick 8-3 lead in the first set, and didn't look back. The Huskies kept the set scores close (16-25, 24-26, 23-25), but the Blue Hens were able to hold on for the win. 

• Staunton also notched five digs and two blocks.
• Sophomore outside hitter Defne Arliel had six kills and three blocks.
• Sophomore middle blocker Marika Virthe tallied three kills and six blocks.
• Freshman setter Jessica Frannea dished out 17 assists. 
• Junior libero Kayla Martin had a team-high 14 digs.
• Delaware outhit the Huskies, .239 to .146.
• The match had 17 tie scores, and five lead changes.
