Chelsea Domond and
Gaby Scarlett each tallied a goal to lead Northeastern (5-5-1, 3-1-0 CAA) in a 3-2 loss against UNCW (7-2-0, 4-0-0 CAA) in the semifinal match of the CAA Women's Soccer Championship.  Â
Gaby Scarlett put the Huskies up 1-0 within the first 10 minutes of play as
Katarina Nilsson weaved through the Seahawks defensive line and slotted the ball right to Scarlett's foot, knocking one past UNCW's goalkeeper. Scarlett's momentum carried shortly after as she passed the ball toÂ
Chelsea Domond who took it to the outside of the box and launched an upper 90 goal to give the Huskies a 2-0 lead.

As the second half approached, UNCW stepped up the pressure and knocked two goals past Northeastern in the 48
th and 64
th minute of the match. With the match tied at two apiece, defender
Julianne Ross posted a header shot to the far-right corner past UNCW's goalkeeper, but a Seahawk defender was able to clear it off the line. Finally, after an unfavorable penalty against the Huskies, UNCW took the lead with a PK goal to close out the match, 3-2.
Angeline Friel made eight saves on the night.Â

Northeastern made its 10
th consecutive CAA postseason appearance, the longest record held by all league members.
