The Huskies jumped on top of the Cougars with six runs in the first inning and improve to 17-0 this season when scoring in the opening inning.

Schlittler won his eighth consecutive start and his 8.0 innings pitched matches his career high. Fair led the way offensively with a 3-for-5 performance, adding a home run and a double, while Scott Holzwasser drove in three runs for the Huskies, going 2-for-5. All nine batters recorded a hit for Northeastern in the game.

Fair has reached base safely in 21 consecutive games and is riding a 10-game hitting streak. Max Viera finished 2-for-5 and has reached base safely in 28 of 29 games played this season, while Danny Crossen finished 2-for-5 at the dish. RHP David Stiehl tossed a perfect ninth inning, striking out one.

Northeastern raced out in front 6-0 in the first inning courtesy of a three-run home run by Malgeri and a two-RBI single by Holzwasser. Fair crushed a two-run home run to right field in the third inning and Dupere smacked his 18th home run of the season to left field to extend the Huskies' lead to 9-1. Holzwasser delivered a RBI single in the fifth inning to close out the scoring for NU.
