BROOKLINE, Mass. — Midfielder Alexis Legowski had two shots on goal and Defender Mikenna McManus registered four shots but it wasn't enough for Northeastern as they fell 2-0 to Boston University at Parsons Field Thursday night in the season opener.

• The Huskies registered 14 shots, putting five on goal
• NU was awarded 13 free kicks from BU fouls, with one resulting in a yellow card
• Defenders Julianne Ross and Faith Rosenblatt played all 90 minutes, anchoring the back line
• Megan Putvinski came off the bench and added two shots
• Starting forward Halle McCabe had two shots with one on goal in 82 minutes of action
• NU earned four corner kicks, two in each half
• BU defender Margaret Berry scored the first goal at 10:28 in the first half off an assist from Jenna Oldham
• Sophia Woodland scored BU's second goal in the first half at 19:24 from Jenna Oldham as well
