Samantha Shupe put up three aces and set up 42 assists but Northeastern women's volleyball (1-1, 0-0 CAA) couldn't overcome Sacred Heart (1-1, 0-0 NEC) as they fell 3-2 (20-25, 24-26, 25-16, 25-23, 15-9) to the Pioneers in the Boston College Tournament Saturday afternoon at Power Gym.
- The Huskies won the first two sets, making comebacks in both of them
- Freshman outside hitter Rafaella Lepenioti had 11 kills and junior middle blockers Nailah Jenkins and Anya Korbut each had 10
- Shupe served well with a percentage of .944 on her 18 attempts
- As a team, the Huskies had a .197 attack percentage and killed 62
- Junior libero Kayla Martin played all five sets, making 17 digs and adding two assists
- Freshman outside hitter Sahitya Krishnamurthy made no errors on 21 serves and had an ace as well as 15 digs on the back line
The Huskies will play again Saturday night as they wrap up the Boston College Tournament with a match against crosstown rival Boston College at 7 p.m. in Chestnut Hill on
