KINGSTON, R.I. - Northeastern's
Halle McCabe notched the lone goal of the seasons first away game off a cross from
Mikenna McManus at the URI Soccer Complex to give the Huskies (3-1-0, 0-0-0 CAA) the 1-0 win over Rhode Island (0-1-1, 0-0-0 A10) Sunday afternoon.
- McCabe has two goals this season and that was her second of her career as well.
- Northeastern kicked five shots, putting two of them on goal.
- Graduate student defender Julianne Ross contributed her fourth 90-minute game of the season, holding down the defensive end.
- Earning the win in goal, Angeline Friel saved six shots on the afternoon.
The Huskies return to Parsons Field for a week of practice before taking a road trip to UMass Lowell for a 6:30 p.m. kick-off on Sunday, September 5th at the Cushing Field Complex to take on the River Hawks on
