Katherine Marchesseault scored a penalty-kick goal in the 64th minute but that was all Northeastern women's soccer (3-4-1, 0-0-0 CAA) could muster as they lost 3-1 to Brown (5-3-0, 0-0-0 Ivy) on Sunday afternoon in Providence, R.I.
- Marchesseault put a free kick from the defensive half into the box where Mikenna McManus was able to win a penalty for the Huskies.
- Earning her first goal on the year, Marchesseault buried a penalty kick in the back of the Brown net.
- Both the Huskies and the Bears had six shots on goal.
- Junior goalkeeper Angeline Friel made three saves for the Huskies in 83 minutes.Â
In their next match, the Huskies will travel to Delaware to take on the Blue Hens in their CAA opener on Sunday, September 26 at 1 p.m. on
