NEWARK, Del. — Senior forward
Mikenna McManus scored in the 65th minute to cut the deficit to just one, but that's all Northeastern women's soccer (3-5-1, 0-1-0 CAA) could muster as they fell 2-1 to Delaware (4-6-0, 1-0-0 CAA) in Newark, Delaware on Sunday afternoon.
- McManus scored her third goal of the season, most on the Husky roster and tied for ninth in the CAA.
- Senior Kayla McCauley assisted the McManus goal, contributing her first point and assist on the season.
- Senior goalkeeper Megan Adams made a save in her 90-minute effort and the defense allowed just three shots on goal afternoon.
- The Huskies outshot Delaware 11-4 and had four more corner kicks than the Blue Hens.
- Senior Tatiana Ortega, junior Porter Dooley and freshman Megan Putvinski all had two shots on the afternoon.
