Kayla Martin added 23 digs but Northeastern women's volleyball (2-4, 0-0 CAA) couldn't close out Northern Colorado (5-0, 0-0 Big Sky) and lost 3-2 (25-17, 16-25, 18-25, 25-20, 15-12) in the final game of the Denver Tournament on Saturday night.
- Junior outside hitter Evelyn Gonzalez also finished in double figures for kills and digs with 10 of each.
- Senior setter Samantha Shupe set up her teammates with 36 assists and also had three kills and nine digs on the day.
- Junior middle blocker Nailah Jenkins was a force at the net with eight kills and 4.5 total blocks.
- The Huskies blocked eight and dug 62 to put in a strong defensive effort.
In their next match, the Huskies come back home to Solomon Court and play the Boston College Eagles on Tuesday at 7 p.m. on
FloVolleyball.
