BOSTON— The No. 1 Northeastern women's hockey team fell to the Vermont Catamounts, 2-1, on Friday afternoon at Matthews Arena.

• Vermont took it to the Huskies in the first frame, scoring at the 11:59 mark to jump out to a 1-0 lead.
• The game continued on in scoreless fashion until Maureen Murphy tallied her team-best 15^th goal of the season midway through the second period. Murphy's goal evened the score at 1-1 and was assisted by her linemates Maddie Mills and Skylar Irving.
• The Catamounts eventual game-winner came at the 6:15 mark in the third period off the stick of Bella Parento on the power play.
• Northeastern was unable to equalize even after pulling goaltender Aerin Frankel with 1:24 to go in the game.
• Frankel finished with 30 saves on the day.
