BROOKLINE, Mass.— The Northeastern women's soccer team clinched a spot in the CAA tournament for the 12
th straight season after defeating the Delaware Blue Hens, 3-0, on Sunday afternoon at Parsons Field.

The Huskies (8-4-4, 5-1-2 CAA) sit tied atop the CAA standings with Monmouth. The two teams will battle for the CAA regular season title on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 1 p.m.
- Freshman Vivian Akyirem scored her ninth goal of the season just 51 seconds into the game to put the Huskies up 1-0. Akyirem capitalized on a mistake by Delaware's keeper after senior Nina Dooley applied pressure. Akyirem's nine goals are the most by a Husky freshman since 2009.
- Senior Porter Dooley got Northeastern on the board with her first career goal in the second half. Porter Dooley's goal was assisted by senior Nina Dooley and junior Jessie Hunt.
- Junior Rose Kaefer closed out the scoring in the 89th minute with her second tally of the year. Sophomore Avery LeVangie posted an assist on Kaefer's goal.
- Graduate student goalkeeper Holland Stam finished her day with seven saves for her seventh shutout of the season.
