Postgame Press Conference

BOSTON -- The No. 12/14 Northeastern Huskies fell in a close battle to the UMass Lowell River Hawks, 3-2, on Saturday night at Matthews Arena.

• Justin Hryckowian tied the game, 1-1, just over the halfway point in the first period for the Huskies. On a quick one-timer from the left side, Hryckowian tallied his third of the season. Cam Lund and Jeremie Bucheler were credited the assists.
• After trailing by two into the third period, Northeastern brought it back within one goal thanks to assistant captain Jayden Struble. As Aidan McDonough and Gunnarwolfe Fontaine set up Struble in the slot, the defenseman went top corner to make it 3-2.
• Each with one assist on the evening, McDonough and Fontaine both have extended their point streak to eight points in the last five games played for the Huskies.
• Riley Grant made his debut in net for Northeastern on Saturday evening, finishing with 14 saves through 58:35 minutes played.

The Huskies hit the road for the first time this season as they take on the University of Maine for a pair of games next weekend Oct. 28-29.
