PROVIDENCE, R.I. – On a cold rainy night in Providence, the Northeastern men's soccer team (3-5-3) took every chance it could to score against Brown (5-2-1), but in the end it was the Bears who came out victorious with the 1-0 victory on Tuesday evening.
- Neither team got on the scoreboard in the first, but Northeastern came close on several chances in the first, leading in shots 11-3, 5-2 on goal.
- The Huskies controlled the pace of play and the possession coming into the second half, leading in shots in the frame 4-2.
- Brown's goal came in the 82nd minute on their first shot of the half – they took a 1-0 lead into the final seven minutes of play.
- Northeastern was unable to capitalize despite seven corner kicks to Brown's 3.
- It's the second straight game where Northeastern's opponent was able to tally the game-winner in the final 10 minutes of play.
The Huskies are back home this Saturday, October 8 at 4pm to face new CAA foe Monmouth at Parsons Field. That game will stream on FloFC.
