WILLIAMSBURG, Va.— Senior
Alexis Legowski tallied two goals to lead the Northeastern women's soccer team to a 5-0 victory over conference foe Hampton on Saturday night. The win marked the Huskies (7-4-3, 4-1-1 CAA) fourth-straight conference victory.
- Just under five minutes into the game, freshman scoring phenom Vivian Akyirem notched her eighth goal of the season to put the Huskies up 1-0. Akyirem's goal was her first from the penalty spot.
- Senior Nina Dooley and Legowski closed out the first half scoring with goals in the 11th and 21st minute, respectively.
- Legowski then opened up the second half scoring with her second tally of the evening. Junior Gaby Scarlett closed out the scoring with her first of the season in the 83rd minute.
- Graduate student Holland Stam got the start in goal and picked up her seventh win of the season. Senior Angeline Friel came on in relief and made three saves.
- The Huskies had 13 shots on goal to Hampton's three.
Northeastern will return home to face Drexel on Thursday, Oct. 13 at 6 p.m. at Parsons Field.
