BOSTON – The No. 15 Northeastern Huskies battled hard but came up short, 3-2, in their series finale against the Boston College Eagles on Saturday night.
- With the Eagles leading 2-0, Jack Williams kicked off scoring for the Huskies, tallying his fourth point in the last three games, to bring the game within one with :39 seconds remaining in the opening period. Riley Hughes and Hunter McDonald were credited with the assists.
- In similar fashion, with less than a minute to go in the middle frame, the Huskies find the back of the net for a tied game. Pushing ahead on a breakaway, Williams feeds the puck for Gunnarwolfe Fontaine coming up the middle for the equalizer.
- In the early half of the final period, Boston College took back the lead, 3-2. At the 11:06 mark, Cam Lund cleaned up a puck scramble for a chance to bring Northeastern back into the game, but the goal was eventually called off.
- Through a hard-fought evening, goaltender Devon Levi made numerous saves to get the score within one. On the night, the junior finished with 33 saves.
The Huskies are set for their third home-and-home series of the season when they take on the Boston University Terriers next weekend. Northeastern will travel to Agganis Arena on Friday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. and will then face the Terriers in Matthews Arena on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m.
