BOSTON – Senior outside hitter
Erica Staunton tallied her 1,000th career kill en route to another double-digit kill performance as the Northeastern volleyball team (12-12, 9-6 CAA) swept visiting William & Mary (11-12, 6-9 CAA) on Saturday afternoon at the Cabot Center.

Exactly 13 kills away from 1,000 for her career, Staunton notched the milestone in the third set in dominating fashion off an overpass. Â Junior outside hitter
Defne Arliel also reached double-digit kills with 10, while hitting at a blistering .500 clip. Â

- Senior libero Kayla Martin had a team-high 18 digs.
- Graduate student outside hitter Laura Seeger chipped in with four kills and two digs.
- Senior outside hitter Evelyn Gonzalez notched three kills, which all were tallied in the third set.
- Junior middle blocker Marika Virthe had six kills and four blocks.
- Sophomore setter Jessica Frannea dished out 36 assists and tallied eight digs.
- Northeastern outhit William & Mary, .262 to .089.
The Huskies will face William & Mary again on Sunday, November 13. Northeastern will be honoring its eight seniors prior to the match, which is slated for 2 pm, and can be watched on FloVolleyball & NESN+.
