HARRISONBURG, Va. – Northeastern University (17-17-1, 3-8 CAA) fell to James Madison University (19-15, 6-5 CAA) by a score of 8-1 on Saturday afternoon at Veteran's Memorial Park.
 

• After a scoreless first for both sides, JMU opened the scoring in the 2^nd inning with a solo home run to take a 1-0 lead.
• The Dukes added two more in the third and fourth innings each – the Dukes tallied a home run in each inning.
• An RBI double and two-run home run in the fifth made the score 8-0.
• The Huskies answered back in the sixth inning with an RBI single from Luke Beckstein – he scored Spenser Smith, who reached on an error and stole third base.
• Wyatt Scotti (L, 6-2) went four innings with eight hits and eight runs allowed.
• Jordy Allard pitched the final four innings, allowing just two hits, no walks, and no runs. He struck out four on the afternoon.

 
The two teams will wrap up the three game series Sunday afternoon at 1 pm. The game will be streamed on FloBaseball.
