Northeastern Draws with Rhode Island

BROOKLINE, Mass.— The Northeastern women's soccer team played the University of Rhode Island Rams to a 0-0 draw on Thursday evening at Parsons Field.
  • The Huskies hit the post twice within the first 10 minutes of the game and played on to a scoreless first half. Rhode Island's keeper had five saves in the first, while Holland Stam posted two solid saves in the waning minutes of the half.
  • Stam finished her day with seven saves and has made seven saves in all three appearances this season.
  • Freshman Vivian Akyirem led Northeastern with two shots on goal and four shots overall.
The Huskies are back in action on Monday, Aug. 29 at 3 p.m. at Harvard.
