NARAGANSSET, R.I. - The Northeastern women's swim and dive program participated in the 13th annual Swim Across America on Saturday, Sep. 10. The event includes a mile swim for the swimmers and a half mile swim for the divers in the open water.
Swim Across America is an organization that raises money through hosting benefit swims to fund cancer research and clinical trials. The Rhode Island Open Water Swim benefits cancer research, prevention and treatment at Women & Infants Hospital in Providence, R.I.
The Huskies program raised $15,080 to date and the event as a whole raised $239,435.
