WORCESTER, Mass. – The Northeastern men's soccer team (2-3-3) fell to the Holy Cross Crusaders (4-4-0) in a non-conference matchup Wednesday evening at Linda Johnson Smith Stadium.
- The Crusaders got on the board first in the 26th minute to go up 1-0.
- Northeastern had two corner kicks in the first half to Holy Cross' one, but were unable to convert on their one shot on target in the first.
- The Huskies got two great scoring chances in the 72nd minute by Harry Sankey trying to pick the bottom left corner from outside the box, and in the 78th minute by Eren Senyuva trying to chip the keeper, but both attempts were saved.
- Northeastern outshot Holy Cross 11-5 in the contest, 5-1 on goal.
- Timothy Ennin and Omar Da Naia notched their 50th career appearances in the contest.
The Huskies are back on the road in CAA play this Saturday, when they travel back to Long Island to face Stony Brook. That game kicks off at 4 p.m. this Saturday, September 24 on FloFC.
