FAIRFIELD, Conn.— The Northeastern women's soccer team (3-3-1) fell to the Fairfield Stags (5-1-0), 2-1, on Thursday evening at Lessing Field.

• The Jessie Hunt and Vivian Akyirem connection was successful for the fourth time this season when Akyirem opened the scoring in the 27^th minute for the Huskies. All four of Akyirem's goals this season have been assisted by Hunt.
• The Stags evened the score at 1-1 in the 36^th minute and the two teams headed into the half tied.
• Fairfield was able to find the back of the net in the second half to eventually claim a 2-1 victory.
• Holland Stam finished with eight saves in the game. 

Northeastern will return home to Parsons Field to close out its non-conference slate against No. 20 Brown on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 1 p.m.
