BROOKLINE, Mass.— For the 13th straight season, the Northeastern women's soccer team is headed to the CAA Tournament after defeating the Towson Tigers, 1-0, on Sunday afternoon at Parsons Field. The Huskies gave the Tigers their first loss in conference play this season to clinch a postseason berth.
- Vivian Akyirem potted her sixth goal of the season to give Northeastern an early 1-0 lead. Her eventual game-winning goal came in the 16th minute with an assist from Jessie Hunt.
- Goalkeeper Holland Stam posted her third straight shutout with six saves on the day.
- The Huskies outshot the Tigers 7-6 with shots on goal.
Northeastern will host its final regular season home game against the Stony Brook Seawolves on Thursday, Oct. 19 at 6 p.m.
