Durham, N.H. – The No. 18/17 Northeastern men's hockey team dropped, 4-1, to the University of New Hampshire on Thursday night.
- The Wildcats got on the board first at the 10:25 marker in the second period for a 1-0 lead.
- Just over the halfway point of the game, freshman Michael Fisher potted the game-tying goal, his first in the Northeastern sweater. His goal, which crossed just over the left shoulder of Wildcat's netminder, evened the game at 1-1 and was assisted by sophomores Cam Lund and Jack Williams.
- New Hampshire would go on to score three unanswered goals in the third period to take a 4-1 victory.
- Netminder Cameron Whitehead finished the game, playing all 60 minutes in net for Northeastern and collected 21 saves.
- Williams finished with a team-high seven faceoff wins and freshman Dylan Hryckowian lead the Huskies with four shots on goal.
The Huskies are back in action this Saturday (Oct. 28) at Matthews Arena as they host the Merrimack Warriors. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
