WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J.— Jessie Hunt scored the game-winner in the 25th minute to lead the Northeastern women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over CAA foe Monmouth on Sunday afternoon. Goalkeeper
Holland Stam posted her second-straight shutout, with six saves in goal.
- Hunt tallied her team-leading sixth goal of the season to give Northeastern a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute. Hunt intercepted a pass from Monmouth's keeper and caught her out of position with her shot to tally the eventual game-winner.
- Northeastern would not allow Monmouth to equalize after Hunt's goal and the Huskies have now posted back-to-back shutouts.
- Stam made six saves against the Hawks for her third shutout of the season.
- The Huskies move into third place in the CAA standings with a 5-1-3 record in conference.
Northeastern will return to Parsons Field to host the top of the table Towson Tigers on Sunday, Oct. 15 at 12 p.m. The Huskies will be hosting their Pride game against the Tigers.
