BOSTON — The Northeastern men's hockey team fell to a 5-2 decision to No. 5/6 Providence on Saturday evening.

• Providence controlled scoring through the first period of the game, taking a 2-0 lead.
• Senior Gunnarwolfe Fontaine broke the deficit to 2-1 a little over two minutes into the third period. He was assisted by captain Justin Hryckowian and senior Alex Campbell, who skated in his 100th career game.
• Providence scored midway in the third period to extend their lead to 3-1.
• Hryckowian gave the Huskies their second goal at 12:40 in the third, where he was assisted by Campbell, his second of the night, and sophomore Vinny Borgesi.
• The Friars scored their last two goals two minutes apart to end the game with the final 5-2 score.
• Freshman Cameron Whitehead made 36 saves in 60 minutes played.
• Graduate-student Liam Walsh led the team with seven faceoff wins, and Fontaine, Borgesi, and Campbell each had three shots on goal.

Northeastern will next host New Hampshire on Friday night at 7p.m. (Nov. 17) in Matthews Arena.
